Common methods for filter element integrity testing

Bubble point test method

1.The bubble point test is a commonly used method for determining the integrity of a filter element. This method involves applying a certain pressure or vacuum to the surface of the filter element and observing whether bubbles are produced to determine if there are any pores or defects in the filter element. Generally, this method requires the use of a dedicated bubble point testing instrument, and during the test process, it is necessary to follow certain standards and operating procedures.

    2. Leakage Test Method

The leakage test method is used to check the integrity of the filter element by introducing liquid or gas into the filter element and observing whether there is any leakage. During the test, different pressures and liquids can be used to detect the leakage of the filter element. The commonly used pressure is 1.2 times the design pressure of the filter element or the maximum working pressure of the filter element.

    3.Permeability test method

The permeability test method is a way to detect the integrity of a filter element by observing the filtration of the solution through it. In the test, the filter element can be immersed in a solution of a certain concentration and temperature, and then the filtration of the solution can be observed. If leakage occurs, it indicates that there is a problem with the filter element.
